Examples of Bayesian inference that are intuitive and so easy that they fit on a napkin are rare. Estimating the probability of an event given some data happens to be that easy. And it provides an clear example of the role of priors in Bayesian inference.

A tutorial for creating automatically formatted plots of normal distributions with arbitrary parameters using R and ggplot2. The method uses functional programming and is easily extensible to any distribution in the stats package.
